Our Story

We are local, family owned and award-winning.

Our beginnings were humble: a single van, a backyard shed and the drive to build something better.

Attic ladders led to residential chairlifts. Chairlifts to platform lifts. Platform lifts to our first commercial lift installation in 2005.

Since then, we have installed more than 200 lifts across Tasmania and beyond, including at MONA Pharos, Pumphouse Point, Freycinet Lodge, Myer ICON complex, Crowne Plaza Hobart, Launceston and Mersey Hospital, Parliament Square and much more.

Along the way, we have provided opportunities for local apprentices, supported community organisations and events and employed scores of Tasmanians.

Our commitment to quality, excellence and desire to provide Tasmanians with a local option has remained a constant during this time.

After more than 25 years operation and with the second generation of the Dales family now onboard, our story has really only just begun.

Our Capabilities

We go where others can’t. Our “can-do” attitude sees us provide solutions which are unique, cutting edge and tailored to our client’s needs. We regularly attend the largest international elevator exhibitions in Europe and elsewhere bringing the best the world has to offer to Tasmania.

We go the extra mile. Undertaking extra research to offer alternate solutions, assisting consultants with vertical access problems such as pit depth constraints, services in the shaft, limited overheads or sensitive sites are all in a day’s work at Access Solutions.

We strive to ensure the i’s are dotted and t’s crossed. Compliant with the Building Code of Australia (2013) and QMS ISO 9001:2008 accredited, Access Solutions also partners with leading vertical transport safety consultants to ensure that quality is kept front and centre.

Our People

We aim to attract the best in the industry.

Our team of more than 25 Tasmanians is experienced, dedicated and committed to delivering excellence.

We invest in our award-winning team to ensure that their skills and our capability is kept at the cutting edge.

We have fun together. Whether team building abseiling the Gordon Dam wall, go-Karting, paintball, or the Raw Challenge mud runs, we know that a happy team is often a successful one.

Are you statewide?

Yes! We operate with a state-wide maintenance and a 24/7 call out line across Tasmania. We have also undertaken projects in Victoria and Queensland.

Do you only do DDA and residential lifts?

While we can provide a DDA compliant solution for you, we also specialise in residential, commercial, custom designs, escalators, moving walkways, goods hoists or dumbwaiters. Call us today for an obligation free quote or sample drawings!

Can you provide sample drawings?

We certainly can for all types of lifts, escalators, or platform lifts that we offer. If you’re an architect or designer and need them in CAD format – ask us today.

Does Access Solutions installations comply with AS1735 and EN81-20?

Yes.  Access Solutions installations comply with the relevant code. Any new designs are registered with Work Safe Tasmania and undergo rigorous internal inspections by our third party lift inspector.
